| ABOUT
YOUR GUIDE: |
|
| I
started fishing at age 3 with my grandfather
and mother on family vacations to lakes on the
Iron Range and surrounding areas. I can still
remember bits and pieces of those early fishing
trips and how much I loved them. From about age
5 until age 16, I spent my summers with my grandparents
in Virginia, MN mainly fishing Lake Vermilion,
Cass Lake and a few others. |
|
| At
the age of 16, I owned my first boat --- a 1973
14’ Crestliner with a 20HP Mercury on the
back, which was given to me by my grandfather
for a nickel. Lots of fish came over the sides
of that boat (waves, too!). I hauled my boat
back to the Twin Cities at the end of that summer
and started fishing the lakes and rivers around
the Twin Cities non-stop ever since. |

|
| As
I got older, I realized what a gift I was given
at such a young age and the desire to catch fish
kept growing. As my experiences and knowledge
increased, I eventually came to a point where
I could understand fishing on a deeper level
--- being able to truly “read” a
lake map, understanding seasonal patterns, finding
the fish, figuring out what they want to eat
and then catching them! |
|
| Over
the last 20 years, I have developed a keen understanding
of many lakes and rivers in the Twin Cities area
and I would love to have an opportunity to share
some of that knowledge with you. |
